What was the SolaRIS rebate amount?
The SolaRIS (Solar Residential Incentive Scheme) rebate provided a direct cash rebate of RM4,000 for eligible Malaysian homeowners. Trexon deducted this from your invoice upfront — you paid less from day one. The programme ended in 2025.
Who was eligible for the SolaRIS rebate?
Malaysian citizens who own a residential property with an individual TNB domestic meter, installing a system between 2–12kWp using a SEDA-registered installer with SIRIM-certified equipment. Property must be in Peninsular Malaysia.
How long did the SolaRIS application take?
Typically 4–8 weeks after TNB Solar ATAP meter activation. Trexon submitted the full application on your behalf. Once approved, the rebate was disbursed within 30 days.
Can I stack SolaRIS with Solar ATAP?
Yes — SolaRIS was a one-time installation rebate while Solar ATAP is an ongoing grid-export credit programme. They complemented each other perfectly. Solar ATAP remains active today.
What is the current equivalent of SolaRIS in 2026?
SolaRIS ended in April 2025. The best current options for homeowners are: Solar ATAP (earn RM0.27–0.37/kWh credits by exporting to TNB grid), (up to RM50,000 at zero interest), and green bank loans from 3.5% p.a.
Does SolaRIS apply to apartments?
SolaRIS was primarily for landed residential properties with individual TNB meters. Strata units faced eligibility challenges due to shared master meters. The programme has ended as of 2025.
How was the RM4,000 rebate paid out?
Trexon deducted RM4,000 from your total invoice upfront. We then claimed the rebate from SEDA on your behalf. No waiting — you got the discount from day one.
What documents did SolaRIS require?
MyKad copy, land title or S&P agreement, 3 months TNB bills, installation completion certificate (provided by Trexon), solar system specs sheet, TNB meter activation letter, single-line diagram, and roof photographs.
