Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity through photovoltaic cells. When sunlight hits the cells, it creates an electric field that generates direct current (DC) electricity. An inverter then converts this DC electricity into alternating current (AC) that powers your home appliances.
Savings depend on your current electricity usage, system size, and sunlight exposure. Use our solar calculator to get a personalized estimate based on your monthly bill.
System size depends on your electricity consumption. A typical Malaysian household with RM300-500 monthly bills needs about a 5.58-7.44 kWp system. Our calculator analyzes your bill to recommend the optimal system size for maximum savings.
Yes! Solar panels still generate electricity on cloudy days, though at reduced efficiency (10-25% of peak capacity). Malaysia's tropical climate provides excellent solar conditions year-round, with about 3.5 equivalent peak sun hours a day on our Peninsular model.
Quality solar panels last 25-30 years or more. Our panels carry a 30-year performance warranty and a 12-year product warranty, and the inverter carries a 10-year warranty.
Prices start from RM17,499 for a 6.82 kWp system (Solis inverter) and rise with system size. The cost includes panels, inverter, mounting, installation, and all permits. Use our calculator for an accurate quote based on your needs.
We offer flexible payment options: pay in full, milestone-based payments (a RM2,000 booking, then the balance in two stages: 70% on Solar ATAP approval and 30% on equipment delivery, before installation; nothing is due after installation), 0% interest credit card instalments through participating banks for 3 to 24 months (subject to your bank approving the plan), a loan from your own bank, or OKAPI rent-to-own for homes.
Yes, a RM2,000 booking fee secures your installation slot; your price is fixed until the validity date shown on your proposal. This is deducted from your total amount. The booking fee is non-refundable.
Malaysia's Solar ATAP programme (effective January 2026) allows you to export excess solar electricity to TNB and receive credits on your bill at the Energy Charge rate (RM0.2703/kWh, or RM0.3703/kWh above 1,500 kWh a month). Unused export credit is forfeited at the end of each billing period.
Our all-inclusive pricing covers: solar panels, inverter, mounting system, cables and connectors, professional installation, SEDA and TNB applications, meter upgrade, system commissioning, and a 30-year panel performance warranty.
Standard residential installation takes 1-2 days. The entire process typically takes 6-10 weeks from booking to TNB commissioning, including permit approvals and TNB meter upgrade.
Installation is designed to protect your roof. Our SEDA-registered installation team uses industry-standard mounting systems. We seal all penetration points with weatherproof materials and provide a 5-year workmanship warranty, which covers roof leaks caused by our installation.
We need: latest TNB electricity bill, copy of IC (front & back), property documents (S&P Agreement or Quit Rent), and photos of your roof and meter. Our team guides you through the entire documentation process.
You or an authorized representative should be present at the start and end of installation for inspection and handover. Our team will coordinate a convenient schedule with you.
After installation, we handle TNB Solar ATAP registration and meter upgrade. Once approved, your system goes live under Solar ATAP. We provide monitoring app access and a complete system handover with user training.
Solar ATAP (Solar Accelerated Transition Action Programme) is Malaysia's programme effective January 2026 that allows you to export excess solar electricity to TNB and receive bill credits. Homes receive export credit at the TNB Energy Charge (RM0.2703/kWh, or RM0.3703/kWh above 1,500 kWh a month) for up to 10 years, with capacity allocated first-come-first-served. Unused export credit is forfeited at the end of each billing period. We handle the entire Solar ATAP application process for you at no extra cost.
For most residential installations, council approval is not required as solar panels are considered minor additions. However, some areas may have specific requirements which we verify before installation.
SEDA and TNB set their own processing times; from booking to TNB commissioning typically takes 6-10 weeks. We track all applications and keep you informed of progress throughout.
Strata properties (condos, apartments) require JMB/MC approval before installation. We can assist with the application process and provide technical documentation required by your management.
Our systems come with comprehensive warranties: 30-year panel performance warranty, 12-year panel product warranty, 10-year inverter warranty, and 5-year workmanship warranty covering installation.
Contact our support team via app, WhatsApp, or phone. We provide remote diagnostics through our monitoring system and dispatch technicians for on-site issues.
Solar systems require minimal maintenance. We recommend annual cleaning and inspection to ensure optimal performance. Our maintenance plans cover regular cleaning and health checks.
Panel damage is covered under warranty if due to manufacturing defects. For physical damage (storms, debris), your home insurance typically covers replacement. We assist with claims.
Your solar panels and inverter come with manufacturer warranties directly from Tier-1 global companies like Solis, Huawei, Sungrow, GoodWe, and Jinko Solar. These 30-year panel performance warranties and 10-year inverter warranties (Solis, Huawei, Sungrow; GoodWe per manufacturer terms) are backed by the manufacturers — not by Trexon. Warranty terms are set by the manufacturers; confirm them in your warranty documents. Your system will continue working independently.
Yes. For a RM400/month bill, a solar system typically pays for itself in about 6.2 years, and then keeps cutting your electricity bill for the rest of its life. Use our bill calculator for an estimate based on your own bill.
Your solar system stays with the property and transfers to the new owner. Notify us of the ownership change so we can update our records.
Solar ATAP rates are set by the Energy Commission. Even if export rates change, your primary savings come from self-consumption (using your own solar electricity instead of buying from TNB), which is unaffected by export rate changes.
