How much can I save on my TNB bill with solar?
Most homeowners cut their monthly TNB bill substantially. For a household spending RM400/month, a 6.20 kWp system saves about RM230 every month (estimate: 3.5 sun-hours, export credited at 27.03 sen for 10 years, excl. AFA). What is Solar ATAP and how does it benefit me?
Solar ATAP (replaced NEM 3.0 in January 2026) allows you to export excess solar electricity to the TNB grid and earn credits at the Energy Charge rate (RM0.2703/kWh). A well-sized system can reduce your TNB bill to near zero. This is Malaysia's current official residential solar export scheme.
How long does installation take?
Physical installation takes 1–2 days for a residential system. The full process — from your quote to TNB commissioning — takes 4–8 weeks, which includes Solar ATAP application, meter upgrade, and TNB inspection. Trexon handles all paperwork and authority coordination.
Can I go solar without paying the full price upfront?
Yes. Every route starts with a RM2,000 booking, credited in full to your system price. Trexon offers several financing routes: pay in full, 0% card instalments of up to 24 months (IPP), bank loans, and OKAPI rent-to-own. Many customers finance 100% of their system and still save money from month one.
What warranty does Trexon provide?
Every Trexon installation includes a 30-year panel performance warranty (at least 87.4% of rated output at year 30 under the Jinko warranty terms), 12-year panel product warranty, 10-year inverter warranty, and 5-year workmanship warranty on installation.
Do solar panels work on cloudy days or during rain?
Yes — solar panels continue generating electricity on cloudy days, typically at 10–25% of peak capacity. Malaysia's year-round sun means annual generation remains consistently strong even during monsoon seasons. At night, your home switches seamlessly to TNB grid power.
Is my roof suitable for solar panels?

What is SolaRIS and can I still get the RM4,000 rebate?
The SolaRIS government rebate programme of RM4,000 ended in April 2025. Applications are no longer accepted. However, solar is still highly worthwhile — payback periods of 5–7 years remain excellent, and Solar ATAP export credits continue to maximise your savings.
