Announcement decoded
Suria Rebate rewards completed Solar ATAP residential systems, not just interest. The winning path is to finish eligibility screening, site assessment, quotation, application preparation, installation planning and commissioning before the queue closes. Trexon is capping this booking path to homeowners ready to act now, not six months from now.

The Suria Rebate, officially announced as SuRIA Home, is linked to Solar ATAP and gives RM600 per kWac up to RM3,000 for eligible domestic users.
The programme starts June 1, 2026 and is first-come, first-served. It ends when the 250MW quota is fully taken up or on Dec 31, 2026, whichever comes first.
Initial media coverage differs on total allocation, citing RM120m to RM150m. The quota, rebate rate, expected homes, eligibility and deadline are the key homeowner facts to act on now.
Rebate mechanics
Suria Rebate rewards system capacity up to 5 kWac. The rebate does not replace monthly bill savings, Solar ATAP bill credits, or your project financing. It is a one-time incentive layered on top of the solar economics.

Best-selling Trexon packages
The Suria Rebate is capped at RM3,000, but the right system size still depends on your bill, roof and whether you want battery backup. This grid follows the same package design and inverter picker used on Trexon's main packages page, then sends the selected bundle into the booking form.
For homeowners focused on the Suria Rebate, Solar ATAP credits and monthly bill reduction.

Rebate note: the announced Suria Rebate is RM600 per kWac and capped at RM3,000. Larger packages can still make sense for high-usage homes, but the rebate amount itself does not keep increasing past the cap.
Qualified Roof Types
Suria Rebate applies to low-voltage residential consumers. Here is how the rebate scales across the three most common home layouts in Malaysia.

RM1,800 – RM3,000 Rebate
Ideal for intermediate or corner terrace houses. Solar panels are aligned to maximize space on single or dual roof slopes.

RM3,000 Max Rebate
Perfect for semi-d properties with wider roof spans. Allows for optimal layout orientation and battery storage additions.

RM3,000 Max Rebate
Designed for large bungalow properties with high monthly bills. Achieves maximum solar offset and full RM3,000 rebate credit.
Trexon will not describe the rebate as guaranteed before the official process confirms eligibility. The urgency is real, but the paperwork still has to be clean.
1-3 month Trexon booking path
The first step is a free eligibility screen. If the bill, roof and timing make sense, Trexon can then move quickly on survey, design, Solar ATAP preparation and installation planning. If your realistic installation window is longer than 1-3 months, do not pay the booking fee yet.
Trexon screens your monthly TNB bill, property type, roof surface, account details, and likely Solar ATAP system size.
Trexon checks your bill, roof and timeline first. The RM2,000 booking fee is optional at intake and only used when you want to hold scheduling.
We verify the roof, inverter location, meter condition, panel count, access constraints, and expected savings.
Trexon prepares the Solar ATAP submission path and tracks the official rebate process once SEDA and TNB open registration.
The announced window requires Solar ATAP systems to commence operation by Dec 31, 2026 or before the 250MW quota is filled.
WhatsApp Trexon with your monthly bill, property type and preferred installation window.
Submit your bill, property and timeline details. The recommended path opens WhatsApp so Trexon can screen eligibility before you pay anything. If you already want to reserve scheduling, the RM2,000 booking option is still available and is credited toward your solar project.
A real person checks your bill, roof and installation timeline before payment.
We capture bill, property and TNB details needed for fast screening.
This booking path is for homeowners ready to move now, not long-horizon browsing.
RM2,000 is optional at intake and only reserves Trexon scheduling.
Details homeowners ask
Sustainable Rebate & Incentive Assistance (SuRIA) Home is an official incentive programme launched by the Government (PETRA) to help domestic consumers reduce electricity costs through rooftop solar PV system installations under the Solar ATAP scheme.
You will receive RM600 for every 1 kWac of Declared Installed Capacity (as stated on your Solar ATAP certificate), up to a maximum rebate of RM3,000 (which is capped at 5 kWac of capacity). Systems larger than 5 kWac are eligible but the rebate value remains capped at RM3,000.
You are eligible if you meet all of the following: 1) Malaysian citizen. 2) TNB individual customer under Domestic Tariff (excluding companies). 3) Solar ATAP installation commissioned by TNB between 1 June 2026 and 31 December 2026. 4) Have not received any prior cash rebate under the SolaRIS programme. Each customer is entitled to one (1) rebate only.
The rebate is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis for solar PV systems successfully commissioned with TNB between 1 June and 31 December 2026, or until the RM150 million total funding allocation is fully utilised — whichever comes first.
The cash rebate will be transferred directly to the preferred local bank account of the registered TNB customer within seven (7) working days after verification. Once commissioned, you will receive an email from TNB to submit your local bank account details. The bank details (Name & NRIC) must match the registered TNB customer name.
Yes. A joint bank account is allowed, provided that the TNB-registered customer is the principal account holder of that joint bank account, and the NRIC/name matching verification passes.
No. The RM2,000 booking fee reserves your Trexon scheduling and is credited toward your solar installation. The government rebate remains subject to official eligibility, successful Solar ATAP commissioning with TNB, SEDA and TNB claim verification, and quota availability.
Book now if your home is likely to install solar within 1-3 months. Wait if you are not ready to share your bill, property details, and a near-term installation timeline.
