Solar, battery storage and EV charging are often presented as three separate products. In practice they work best when planned together, and the right starting point depends on your electricity bill, your roof and when you use power. Start with solar PV

For most homes and businesses, rooftop solar is the foundation. Our residential catalogue starts at RM19,499–RM45,999 across 5.58–19.84 kWp systems and inverter brands. Under Solar ATAP, export credits are forfeited each month, so a system is best sized to what you use rather than to what the roof can hold.

Add a battery when your usage is in the evening

A battery stores daytime generation for evening use at home. On commercial sites it can also help manage peak demand. If you think you may want one later, choose an inverter that supports it now, because that choice is hard to reverse. Hybrid models cost more upfront, so weigh that against how likely you are to add storage.

Plan EV charging around your solar

Home and workplace chargers can run on the energy your solar system generates. They make the most sense if the car is parked at the property during the day, or if you are happy to charge when the sun is out.

What to bring to the first conversation

• A recent TNB bill, or twelve months of bills for a business.
• Photos of the roof and the meter, and whether you own or rent the property.
• When you use the most electricity, and whether you plan to buy an EV.
