How a 0% card instalment plan works for solar

A 0% instalment plan is not a loan from Trexon. You pay for your solar system with a credit card, and your card issuer splits the amount into equal monthly instalments for a fixed number of months, up to 24. The system price you see is the amount you pay across those months, with no interest on the plan itself. Whether the plan is available to you, and for how many months, is decided by your card issuer.

Steps

1. Choose a system and pay the RM2,000 booking. It is non-refundable and is credited to your system price.
2. Confirm with your card issuer that your card can be placed on an instalment plan for the full amount, and which tenures it offers.
3. Pay the balance by card as agreed in your quote, then ask your issuer to convert it into instalments if that is how its plan works.
4. Repay the instalments on your card statement each month for the chosen term.

What to check with your card issuer

• Whether the amount fits within your available credit limit, since the whole price may be charged to the card at once.
• Whether any processing fee applies, and whether it is charged up front or spread across the instalments.
• The minimum spend and the tenures offered for your specific card.
• What happens if you miss a payment or want to settle the plan early.
• Whether card rewards apply to instalment purchases. Terms differ between issuers and can change, so rely on the issuer's own wording.
