Going solar involves paperwork with SEDA and TNB. Here is what happens when you sign up with Trexon, from booking to switching on; for the full process and what we need from you at each stage, see our How it works page.
Week 1: Quote & Design Review
We start from your TNB bill and roof photos. We review your roof structure and electrical distribution board (DB) from your photos; no site visit is needed to quote.
Weeks 2-6: Solar ATAP Application
We submit your technical drawings to SEDA for Solar ATAP approval.
After Approval: Installation Day
The exciting part! Our team arrives in the morning. Complete installation for a standard terrace house takes 1 to 2 days.
- Day 1: Mounting rails and panels.
- Day 2: Inverter, AC/DC cabling, and Earthing.
Weeks 7-10: TNB Meter Swap
Once installed, we notify TNB. They will process the application and come to your home to swap your old meter for a bi-directional Solar ATAP meter. Once the meter is swapped, you can turn on the system!
