Questions from NFP power-design teams and site acquisition managers.

Can you work directly from our existing ASSR documents?

Yes. Send us the standard Acquisition Site Survey Report (ASSR) you already produce for tower acquisition. We extract site coordinates, tower height and structure type, distance to commercial power, KPKT compliance status, and the chosen candidate option (C1–C4). You don't need to produce any new survey artefacts for the solar layer — we work from what your acquisition team has already signed off.

How do you handle KPKT compliance for the solar additions?

All ground-mount and tower-mount structures we design meet the KPKT 2018 telecommunications infrastructure guidelines. We provide PE-endorsed structural drawings, wind-load calculations for the relevant Sabah/Sarawak zones, and earthing schematics that DBKK, MBKS, and other local councils accept as part of the existing tower approval pack.

1-phase vs 3-phase grid input — which do you support?

Both. Rural Sabah and Sarawak sites are commonly fed by 1-phase pole supply 100m+ away from the tower base, and our hybrid inverters are sized accordingly. For 3-phase commercial power (typical at peri-urban macro sites) we deploy 3-phase string inverters with grid-export disable and load-side connection so we don't trigger TNB/SESB licensing thresholds.

Can you evaluate solar feasibility across our C1–C4 candidates simultaneously?

Yes. Send us the candidate options pack and we'll return a comparative solar+battery sizing for each — factoring shading, road access for material delivery, security risk profile, and cost of running power to the tower. This usually shifts which candidate the acquisition team picks, because the cheapest land lease isn't always the cheapest power solution.

Hybrid grid+solar vs pure off-grid — when do you recommend each?

Hybrid is the default for any site where commercial power is within ~500m and the 1-phase or 3-phase supply has acceptable availability. Solar+battery covers outages and reduces diesel runtime; the grid handles long monsoon stretches. Pure off-grid is reserved for sites where the grid is >500m away, the trenching cost exceeds the lifetime fuel saving, or terrain (island, river crossing, protected forest) makes a power run impractical.

Multi-site rollout timeline?

8 weeks per site for the first deployment in a region (covers ASSR review, design, KPKT submission, material staging, install, commissioning). 4 weeks per site for repeat deployments in the same region — design templates and material kits are reused, and our crews are already mobilised. We routinely run 3–5 sites in parallel during a regional rollout.

Anti-theft for remote panels and batteries?

Standard on every remote site. Locked steel enclosures for inverters and batteries, gravel-base anti-pry mounts on ground-mount arrays, panel-edge security bolts, and GSM tamper alerts that ping the NOC the moment an enclosure is opened. Optional: solar-powered IP CCTV with motion detection and night vision integrated into the existing tower CCTV feed.

Can you commission within our network maintenance window?

Yes. Evening and overnight commissioning is standard for live macro sites — we coordinate the cutover with your NOC, run on temporary feed during the switch, and limit RF-zone work to scheduled windows. For greenfield sites with no live traffic, we commission in daylight with full integration testing the same day.
