How many households can one microgrid serve?
Systems are sized to the community's consumption, typically from about 10 up to around 100 households. Each project is designed and quoted per site.
Can microgrids power community schools and health clinics?
Yes. Schools can run computer labs and evening classes. Health clinics can run vaccine refrigeration and medical equipment, with the load confirmed in the design.
How is power fairly distributed among households?
Households can be metered individually, for example with prepaid meters, so cost follows actual usage. The metering arrangement is agreed in the design.
What happens during extended cloudy seasons?
Battery autonomy is sized per project; a diesel generator can be integrated as backup for longer cloudy periods.
Can the community manage the system themselves?
Yes. Training for local operators and smartphone monitoring for community leaders can be specified in the project scope.
Are there government grants or subsidies available?
Funding options depend on the project. NGO and CSR partnerships may support community projects, and we can help with documentation.
