Common questions about island resort solar systems.
Will solar power work on cloudy island days?
Yes. Battery autonomy is sized to your resort's load, and a generator can be kept as backup for long cloudy spells. Panels still produce some power on cloudy days.
Can we power air conditioning for all rooms?
Air-conditioning is the largest resort load, so we size the solar array and battery from your room count and AC load list. Very large loads are quoted per site, and a generator can be kept as backup.
Does solar help with Green Globe or EarthCheck certification?
Certification bodies set their own criteria and Trexon cannot guarantee certification. Renewable energy share is one input they may assess, and we can share your system's generation data to support an application.
What if we have a special event with extra power needs?
Systems can be designed to work alongside backup diesel generators for high-demand events. Switching arrangements are confirmed in the design.
How is the system installed on island resorts?
Solar panels are mounted on roofs or ground areas. Batteries are stored in weatherproof enclosures. The installation schedule is agreed in your proposal to minimise operational disruption.
Can guests enjoy quieter nights?
Solar panels and batteries make no engine noise. Fewer generator running hours means less generator noise, depending on how much of your load solar and battery carry.
