100% Allowance under GITA
GITA Asset, Tier 1: an allowance of 100% of qualifying EV charging capex, set off against up to 70% of statutory income. Commission and submit to MGTC by 31 Dec 2026.
Applied Through MGTC
GITA Asset is applied for through MGTC (MyHIJAU), not MIDA. The allowance belongs to the company that owns the chargers; confirm the tax treatment with your tax adviser.
RM2,500 Personal Tax Relief (EV owners)
Individual EV owners can claim up to RM2,500 personal tax relief on their own EV charging equipment (not on charging at your hotel). This supports EV adoption — and more potential users for your charger.
