Sarawak's capital has its own solar framework (NEM Sarawak) and tax allowance options for businesses.

Sarawak uses Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB), not TNB, and Solar ATAP does not apply here. Under NEM Sarawak the energy you export is netted against the energy you consume. Our local partners prepare and submit the SEB application; Sarawak Energy installs the PV meter and charges RM500 (single phase) or RM1,000 (three phase) for it.
Kuching factories, warehouses, and commercial properties qualify for Malaysia's Green Investment Tax Allowance (GITA) — a 60% tax allowance on qualifying capital expenditure. Companies that own the system may claim GITA (60% of qualifying capex, commissioned and submitted to MGTC by 31 Dec 2026, subject to MGTC verification).
