How to choose between solar brands
A brand name on its own tells you little. What matters is what is actually quoted for your roof, what warranty is written down, and who answers the phone if something goes wrong. This page separates the brands Trexon installs from those listed only as a market reference, so you can compare like with like.
Every Trexon residential system uses Jinko 620 W N-Type panels. The real choice is the inverter: Solis is the base option in the catalogue, which starts from RM15,999 for 5.58 kWp, while Huawei adds RM3,000 and Sungrow adds RM5,000. Brands marked as reference are not stocked, so they are quoted per site and only on request.
Questions worth asking any installer, about any brand:
- Is the warranty in writing, and does it separate panel performance, panel product, inverter and workmanship cover? Trexon states 30 years for panel performance, 12 years for the panel product, 10 years for the inverter and 5 years for workmanship.
- Is the brand stocked locally, or ordered per project? Stock affects how quickly a fault can be handled.
- Does the inverter suit your plans, for example a hybrid model if you may add a battery later?
- Who is the warranty claim made to, the installer or the manufacturer?
