Monocrystalline Solar Panels
Founded in 2000 in Xi'an, China, LONGi Green Energy is a major manufacturer of monocrystalline silicon wafers and solar panels. With 85GW+ of annual capacity and manufacturing operations spanning China, Vietnam, and India, LONGi's scale gives it control over its own cell and raw material supply.
LONGi has announced several solar cell efficiency records, including 33.9% in a perovskite-silicon tandem cell in 2023 (company announcement; later results may exist). Their Hi-MO product series — currently on Hi-MO 7 — represents the commercial embodiment of their R&D leadership, and promotes HPBC back-contact cells as an alternative to TOPCon and PERC panels.
