Why O&M Matters
A neglected solar system silently loses performance every month. Here is what the numbers say.
Malaysian conditions — dust, humidity, bird droppings, and organic matter — accumulate fast. A soiled panel can lose a noticeable share of its output, costing you real money every month.
Unchecked connector corrosion, insulation degradation, and hotspots compound over time. A routine annual O&M inspection helps catch these faults before they become costly repairs or an inverter replacement.
Panels carry a 30-year performance warranty; keeping maintenance documented and following the manufacturer's warranty terms helps if a claim is needed. Regular O&M reports also support warranty claims and provide evidence for insurance purposes.

Quotes assume Peninsula Malaysia and that the roof can be worked safely from a ladder. Double-storey properties and elevated or hard-to-reach roofs require a skylift, which is quoted separately on top of the service price. Systems above 14.88 kWp are priced separately. Travel surcharge may apply outside Klang Valley.

How often should I service my solar system?
We recommend a minimum of one professional O&M visit per year. For residential systems in urban areas with pollution and frequent bird activity, a mid-year panel clean plus an end-of-year full inspection is ideal. Commercial and industrial systems benefit from quarterly checks due to higher production expectations.
How much efficiency do dirty panels lose?
Dust and organic build-up can reduce output noticeably, often by several percent or more, depending on site. The loss tends to be higher near main roads, industrial estates, or heavy bird activity. A single professional clean typically restores full rated output within days.
What is thermal imaging and do I need it?
Thermal imaging uses an infrared camera to detect "hotspots" — individual cells or panels running hotter than normal. Hotspots indicate micro-cracks, delamination, or bypass diode failure that reduce output and, in severe cases, pose a fire risk. We recommend a thermal scan every 3–5 years, or immediately after any storm damage or persistent fault codes.
Will O&M work affect my inverter or panel warranty?
Typically no — professional maintenance performed by a SEDA-registered company does not normally void manufacturer warranties, but check the manufacturer warranty terms. Many panel warranties ask for evidence of regular maintenance. We provide a service report after every visit that documents all work performed, which you can retain for warranty purposes.
Do you service systems installed by other companies?
We maintain the Solis, Huawei, Sungrow and GoodWe systems we install; systems installed by other companies and other brands are assessed case by case. We may request your original system documentation (single-line diagram, panel layout) to ensure we service your system correctly.
What happens if you find a fault during the O&M visit?
Our technician will document the fault with photos and a written report, explain the severity and urgency, and provide a repair quotation. Minor issues (e.g. loose monitoring dongle, tripped breaker) can be resolved on the spot within the package scope; other repairs are quoted separately. Major repairs (e.g. inverter replacement, cable rework) are quoted separately.
