Solar Comparisons
Made Simple

Cut through the marketing noise. Our side-by-side breakdowns cover the products and financing options Malaysians actually ask about.

How to use these comparisons

Each guide above looks at one decision in a solar purchase: the panel, the inverter, and how you pay. They are meant to be read in that order, because the answer to one often narrows the next. Trexon installs Jinko panels, so the panel guide treats LONGi as a market reference rather than something we stock.

A simple way to work through them:

  1. Panel. Compare datasheet efficiency, the temperature coefficient and the written warranty. Trexon states 30 years for panel performance and 12 years for the panel product.
  2. Inverter. The inverter is where our catalogue differs. Solis is the base option, from RM17,499 for 6.82 kWp. Huawei adds RM3,000 and Sungrow adds RM5,000. Compare monitoring, support and whether you may want a battery later. The inverter carries a 10-year warranty.
  3. Financing. Decide whether you want to pay in full, use 0% card instalments (up to 24 months, subject to bank approval), take a bank loan, or use rent-to-own through OKAPI for homes or hire purchase through Mitsubishi HC Capital for businesses.

Be careful with any comparison, ours included, that declares a single winner without knowing your roof and your bills. The better choice depends on how much electricity you use, when you use it, and how long you plan to stay at the property. Check claims against the manufacturer datasheet and ask for warranty terms in writing.

To keep it simple, send us a recent electricity bill. We will quote the system size and recommend one panel and inverter combination, with the financing options that suit it. Trexon does not offer a power purchase agreement (PPA), so the options above are all ways of owning or renting the system, not of buying power from us.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose the right solar equipment?

Compare efficiency (higher is better), warranty (25-year panel, 10-year inverter minimum), brand reputation (Tier-1 Bloomberg-listed), and compatibility with battery storage if you plan to add batteries later.

Does the brand of solar panel really matter?

Yes, for warranty reliability and long-term performance. Tier-1 manufacturers (Jinko, Trina, LONGi, Canadian Solar) typically offer long-term performance warranties; check each model's datasheet. Avoid unknown brands — you may not be able to claim warranty in future.

Still not sure which to choose?

Our consultants will recommend the right panel, inverter, and financing for your specific property and usage.
