What the official Sarawak rules mean

Consumption-based sizing

The proposed system must generate no more than 75% of the previous three months’ average consumption. We need the bill before sizing.

Separate approval process

Applications go through Sarawak Energy and require a registered contractor plus Sarawak EIU-qualified personnel.

Evidence before savings

Tariff category, consumption profile, self-consumption and approved capacity all affect the result. We do not publish a one-size-fits-all saving.

Sarawak Energy NEM subsidy

Up to RM12,000 for eligible landed homes

Available to eligible domestic-tariff customers for new landed-home installations, subject to approved capacity, quota and Sarawak Energy’s conditions. It is not the Peninsular RM3,000 SuRIA Home rebate.
