Model your project savings and peak-demand reduction
Calculate ROIFactory Solar With the GITA Tax Allowance
GITA (Asset) lets the company that owns the system claim an allowance of 60% of qualifying capex, set off against up to 70% of statutory income — if the capex is incurred, the system commissioned and the MGTC application submitted by 31 December 2026.
Every system is sized and priced per project from your TNB bills. A booking of 20% of the system price, capped at RM20,000, credited in full.
What Size System Might Your Factory Need?
Select your monthly TNB bill for an indicative system size. Price, savings and payback are worked out per project from your actual bills.

How the Engineering Review Works
Every factory system is sized and priced per project from your own documents.
What we need from you
- ✓12 months of TNB bills (minimum 6)
- ✓A roof plan or layout drawing
- ✓Your single-line diagram (SLD)
- ✓A photo of your TNB meter
What happens next
- Our engineers read your bills, maximum demand and load profile.
- We size the system against your roof, CT meter rating and operating hours.
- You receive a proposal priced per project from your bills, with the GITA position for an owned system.
- If you go ahead, a booking of 20% of the system price, capped at RM20,000 secures your slot and is credited in full against the system.
Ways to Pay for Factory Solar
Trexon's own routes are outright ownership or hire purchase. A PPA is shown for comparison only.
Outright Ownership
- ✓Your company owns the system
- ✓The owner can claim GITA if the 31 Dec 2026 conditions are met
- ✓Priced per project from your bills
- ✓Savings depend on your load profile
Best for: companies with a capex budget and taxable statutory income
Hire Purchase
- ✓Spread the cost over the hire-purchase term
- ✓Hire-purchase terms are set by the finance partner
- ✓GITA can only be claimed by the asset owner
- ✓Priced per project from your bills
Best for: companies that prefer to spread payments
PPA (explainer)
- ✓A third-party asset owner owns the system
- ✓You buy its output at a contracted rate
- ✓The offtaker cannot claim GITA on a system it does not own
- ✓Requires a third-party asset owner to finance it

How the GITA Tax Allowance Works for Owners
Trexon supports the engineering and technical documents; the owning company submits the MGTC application and claims the allowance.
Engineering Review From Your Bills
Send 12 months of TNB bills (minimum 6), your roof plan, SLD and a meter photo. We size and price the system per project.
Submit the MGTC Application
The GITA (Asset) application to MGTC must be submitted by 31 December 2026. We help prepare the technical documents.
Install and Commission
Capex must be incurred and the system commissioned by 31 December 2026. Solar ATAP registration is filed with SEDA.
Claim the Allowance
The owner claims 60% of qualifying capex, set off against up to 70% of statutory income.
A booking of 20% of the system price, capped at RM20,000, credited in full
Once you accept your proposal, a booking of 20% of the system price, capped at RM20,000 secures your installation slot and is credited in full against the system price.
How Solar Affects a Factory's TNB Bill
Solar offsets the electricity you would otherwise buy while it is generating. How much it saves depends on your operating hours and load profile, which we model from your bills.
Solar ATAP for Factories — the Rules
- 10-year Solar ATAP term.
- Exported energy is credited at the energy charge only.
- Unused export credit is forfeited at the end of each month.
- Multi-tenant premises are not eligible.
Your TNB Bill Has Two Parts — Most Factories Only Fix One
Energy Charge (kWh)
Charged per kWh consumed. Solar offsets the kWh you use while it is generating.
Maximum Demand (kW)
Charged per kW of your highest 30-minute demand. Solar lowers it only if your peaks happen while the sun is up — we model this from your bills.
TNB CT Meter vs Maximum Solar Capacity
Your existing CT meter limits the maximum solar system size. Upgrading the CT meter is possible but adds time to the project.
| CT Meter Size | Max Solar (kWp) |
|---|---|
| 150/5A | 68.9 |
| 200/5A | 91.9 |
| 300/5A | 137.8 |
| 400/5A | 183.8 |
| 500/5A | 229.7 |
| 600/5A | 275.7 |
| 800/5A | 367.6 |
| 1000/5A | 459.5 |

EU Buyers Are Asking About Carbon
If you export, customers and supply-chain audits increasingly ask for emissions data. Metered solar generation gives you documented renewable electricity figures to report.
Metered Generation Data
Your monitoring platform records the kWh your system generates.
Scope 2 Reporting
Self-consumed solar reduces the grid electricity you buy, which you can report as a Scope 2 reduction.
Buyer Questionnaires
Documented generation figures help you answer customer and supply-chain sustainability questionnaires.
