Can the Sungrow AC22-01 charge my EV using only solar power?
Yes! When integrated with a Sungrow solar setup, you can set the charger to 'Green Mode', which ensures your car only charges using excess solar energy generated by your roof — solar you would otherwise export at a lower credit rate.
Is the Sungrow AC22-01 weather resistant?
Yes, it features an IP65 rating with UV-resistant housing, making it highly durable against Malaysia's tropical sun and heavy rain for outdoor installation.
What is Dynamic Load Management (DLM)?
DLM automatically adjusts the EV charger's power draw based on your home's real-time electricity usage. This prevents your main breaker from tripping if you use heavy appliances (like ACs or ovens) while charging.
How long does it take to charge with the Sungrow AC22-01?
Charging time depends on your EV battery size. A 7kW charger fully charges a 60kWh EV in ~8.5 hours (overnight). An 11kW charger takes ~5.5 hours, and 22kW takes ~2.7 hours. Most Malaysian EV owners charge overnight on 7kW.
Can I install the Sungrow AC22-01 at my condo/apartment?
Yes, but you need strata management approval. For the charger we install (Schneider Charge Pro), Trexon quotes the installation per site, including the electrical assessment.
Does the Sungrow AC22-01 work with all EV brands?
The Schneider Charge Pro we install uses a Type 2 connector. Confirm your vehicle's charging port before ordering.
