The Story
Encik Ahmad, 45, lost his wife to illness two years ago and has been raising his four children (ages 8-16) single-handedly. Working as a security guard earning RM1,800/month, he struggles to make ends meet.
Their modest terrace house in Shah Alam has poor insulation, requiring fans and air conditioning especially for his youngest child who has asthma. This results in electricity bills of RM380-420 monthly - nearly a quarter of his income.
After paying rent (RM500), utilities, and school expenses, there's barely enough left for food. The children often go without proper school supplies, and Ahmad has had to borrow from relatives multiple times.
With solar panels, we can reduce their electricity bill (the saving depends on the system size and their usage) - money that can go towards the children's education and proper nutrition. Trexon Energy commits 20% (RM3,000) to help this hardworking father provide a better life for his children.
